From the artwork of Jules Leleu “Geometries” was a French Art Deco furniture designer. He was one of a number of cabinet makers, designers and interior designers at the summit of French interior design. Jules Leleu was asked to decorate the interiors of a number of Embassies and Residences of Heads of State, both in France and internationally.

Jules Leleu Motifs géométriques

Jules Leleu (1883-1961) est un designer français Art Déco. Issu d’une famille d'ébénistes, de créateurs et d'ensembliers, qui fut au sommet de la décoration française. Jules Leleu se voit confié l'aménagement de nombreuses ambassades et de résidences de chefs d'État tant françaises qu'étrangères, ainsi que l'aménagement des plus beaux paquebots français : l’Atlantique, le Normandie ou le France.  Ses motifs textiles très géométriques sont tout à fait caractéristiques de la période Art Déco.

Jules Leleu (1883-1961) was a French Art Deco furniture designer. He was one of a number of cabinet makers, designers and interior designers at the summit of French interior design. Jules Leleu was asked to decorate the interiors of a number of Embassies and Residences of Heads of State, both in France and internationally. He was also responsible for fitting out France's finest ocean liners: the SS L'Atlantique, the SS Normandie and the SS France.  The very geometric textile motifs are typical of the Art Deco period.
